He is a Chartered Mediator and Conciliator (ChMC) and a Marshal of Exam Ethics International. Etefia is a government Scholar (State and Local Government), and ETF (now PTDF), and has earned several awards and commendations; between 2021 and 2022, he earned the commendation and appreciation of the Vice-Chancellor of University of Uyo for effective, efficient, and dedicated service to the University.

Dr Ekanem is a Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law, University of Uyo. He has been a Visiting Scholar to Crescent University Abeokuta, National Open University of Nigeria, and Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden. He has taught for about two decades, and he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate Law courses, including Commercial Law, Law of Commercial Transactions and Consumer Protection, Law of Labour Relations, Maritime Law, and Family Law. He is also a co-facilitator of Global Conversations between University of Uyo, Nigeria and DePaul University, Chicago, USA.

Professor Ekanem is widely published and has attended, presented papers and been the lead speaker at several conferences and fora. Professor Ekanem, commonly known as the Doyen of Consumer Protection Law in University of Uyo, has about forty widely researched works published in reputable local and foreign outlets, one of which is his book, Law of Consumer Protection and Hospitality Services in Nigeria. Etefia Ekanem is on the editorial boards of a number of Journals. He has supervised many students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, having also served as the Postgraduate Coordinator of the Faculty of Law, University of Uyo from 2014 to 2018, and the Vice-Dean of Students of University of Uyo between 2017 and 2020. From 2020 till date, Professor Ekanem serves as the Dean of Students of University of Uyo. He is an Internal Examiner in the Department of Philosophy, University of Uyo, and a Vetter in the Postgraduate School. He is also the President, Consumer Rights and Products Safety Awareness Initiative.

Dr. Maher has established a portfolio of over 25 research outputs in national and international scientific journals, in the field of Education, Business Management, Human Resource Management, Career Management and Social Enterprise Management.

Among other programmes, Assoc. Prof. Guenane has designed training programmes for marketing and management which include, fashion marketing strategy, branding, consumer behaviour in the fashion industry, customer retention and loyalty. Assoc. Prof. Guenane, uses state of the art training techniques, which include business simulations, case study discussions, etc. He also has taught at both the undergraduate as well as the postgraduate levels (MBA, MSc, and MA) in several universities across London, UK and Berlin, Germany. Currently, she teaches postgraduate tourism and hospitality programmes. She is engaged in various research and knowledge exchange activities aimed at bridging the gap between academia and the wider society. Most recently, he has served as Project and Research Manager at PlayGreen, an Erasmus+ Sport-funded and EUFA endorsed pan European collaborative project on behalf of the European Sports NGO which aims to enhance the environmental sustainability of sport by developing volunteer capacities.

The research focuses on events management and Olympic studies, alongside mega-sport event volunteering, participation legacies, volunteer management, sports programme evaluation and sustainability, supervising PhD projects in these areas.

Dr Yahaya has over 20 years' teaching and management experience developed during roles in the higher education sector and the consultancy industry. Main research interests are around development finance, microfinance, entrepreneurial finance, ethnic minority entrepreneurship and microbusiness development. Current research interests focus on diaspora bonds and financial technology, working on projects about diaspora finance in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.

His areas of interest and expertise are international SME marketing, international business management and marketing, entrepreneurship, business development and international business strategy. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration specialising in Management and Marketing and PGCert in Higher Education Practice. His PhD research was on the exploration of acculturation patterns of migrant SME owners and managers from African and Caribbean origins in the UK. In addition to this, he is currently involved in research on international entrepreneurship with a focus on the current Sub-Saharan African diaspora movement.

His PhD research was on the impact of learning culture on the effectiveness of pedagogical tools: A multiple case study of management schools across four different continents. In addition to this, he is currently involved in sponsoring research on the effectiveness of pedagogical tools with a focus on the South Asian Universities. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

His research interests fall within the areas of FDI in Emerging African Markets, Market Entry Strategies, Branding, CSR, SMEs in Emerging Markets and Services Marketing. An award-winning educator and researcher, Francis has experience of course leadership roles in the UK and overseas. He currently serves as the Semester/Course Lead in the MBA programme at York St John University London Campus. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds membership in the British Academy of Management (BAM), the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

In the 2005/2006 as well as the 2006/2007 academic sessions, he was a recipient of the University of Calabar Undergraduate Scholarship as the best student in the Department of English and Literary Studies, University of Calabar. In the 2007/2008 academic session, he was also awarded The Professor Ebele Eko Prize as the best graduating student from the Department of English, University of Calabar. Currently, she is working as a Personal Academic Tutor at the University of Sunderland in London. Dr Vinnakota has an impressive list of publications up to date, one of her research articles (COVID-19 and risk factors of suicidal behavior in UK: A content analysis of online newspaper) received a total of over 2100 downloads and was linked to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) helping to tackle some of the world’s greatest challenges.

Mr.Hyseni was awarded the Vice-Chancellor Teaching Fellowship in 2019 for his work on the potential of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality in learning.

Mostain holds a Ph.D. in logistics and supply chain management from the university of Middlesex, UK. He studied green supply chain management in the UK pharma sector. His research, consulting and teaching interests spans across the logistics, operations and supply chain management related areas.
